In an effort to control the COVID-19 surge in Illinois, Governor Pritzker announced today during his press conference that the entire state is moving to Tier 3 mitigations. The new mitigation efforts include a shutdown of gaming and casinos.
The new restrictions take effect at 12:01 AM on Friday, November 20. Thursday, November 19 will be the last day for gaming operations.
The new restrictions do not include a stay-at-home order like the one Pritzker issued in March, though, he said the best way to avoid an official order is to “just stay home.”
